Sustainable Living in eThekwini

Registration for the City’s premier greening expo is now open.  The Sustainable Living Exhibition (SLE) and Indigenous Plant Fair takes place from the 15-17 September 2017 at the Durban Exhibition Centre. Stands are limited, so don’t delay, book today.

The three-day exhibition is hosted by the eThekwini Municipality in partnership with Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. This is the ideal platform to introduce products that promotes energy efficiency and renewable energy, waste minimisation, water conservation, food security and greening, environmental advocacy, creative arts, health and wellbeing and social justice.

Last year the expo attracted more than 15 000 visitors. And the majority of exhibitors have attested that showcasing their greener living products at the expo every year has boosted sales, helped to market their products and has attracted new customers.

Event organiser Dorothy Lutchmiah said that the event has gained momentum since it began in 2009 and has since grown into a successful hub to showcase sustainable products. “This is a great networking platform for all sectors in the greening industry to engage under one roof. It is a one stop shop for people looking for that ideal solution to live more sustainable lifestyles,” she said.

So if you have a water saving and recycling device or a nifty gadget that can help reduce the high cost of electricity, make sure you book your stand at the expo and get the message out. It’s all about going greener and cleaner from green homes, gardens and fashion and art.

Entrance is free and all are welcome. Booking close on 30 June 2017.
