The ground floor storey of every building in a General Shopping, Special Shopping or Minor Shopping zone shall 07/04/1975 contain only shops and, in the Council's discretion, offices, parking and such other accommodation for which the Council has granted its special consent in terms of Clause 6(l)(b); provided that where, owing to the levels of the site, the ground floor is below street level, the Council may permit any floors below street level to be used for the provision of residential accommodation subject to the floor which is at or near street level containing only shops and other accommodation permitted in terms of this Clause or Clause 6(1)(b); provided that in respect of a site in a General Shopping zone in the Point Lanes area, shops and offices shall not be permitted on any floor where there is residential accommodation on a lower floor and provided further that in Minor Shopping Zones not more than 200 square metres of floor area, calculated in terms of Clause 23 shall be used for shopping purposes and purposes directly associated therewith. 18/04/1977
