| The Archie Gumede Thusong Centre is a one-stop, integrated service centre that accommodates several departments and agencies that render services to the community. The centre provides a hub of activities and a variety of services that are provided by all spheres of Government. |

| All services rendered to the community by the Municipality, including those rendered by other spheres of government, will be readily accessible to all residents in the entire eThekwini Municipal Area in an equitable and user-friendly manner. |

The Archie Gumede Thusong Centre, which is part of the Sizakala Programme, is one of the three types of Sizakala Customer Care Centres, namely:
- Thusong Centre
- One Stop Shop
- First Stop Shop

| What is the Sizakala Programme? |
| The eThekwini Municipality is committed to upholding the principles of developmental Local Government and providing equitable access to Government services to all its citizens, tourists and those that work in eThekwini. These principles are at the heart of the Municipality’s integrated Development Plan that was adopted by the Municipality a few years ago. |

| This program me has as its priority customer care and satisfaction, which is the core of the Batho Pele Principles. `Sizakala” is an isiZulu word, which means, `Get Help”. The Archie Gumede Thusong Centre gives practical meaning to the principles that underpin this programme. |
